“Through the binoculars, Major Sam Anthem carefully scanned the small adobe shack, squatting in the middle of the clearing. Through the two open, pane-less windows that he could see from his position, he methodically cataloged the silhouettes of three men facing away from him on the near side of the building i’s interior and two more leaning against the far wall. All held some sort of rifle.”

As a part of a special forces team, Sam and his crew work together to try to handle tougher situations. This book involves Mexican drug cartels and also city politics. Add a missionary to the mix, and one has quite the makings of a good story.

Belief is an extremely important part of the story. A spy turned preacher plays a major role. Yet the faith theme does not involve preaching.

The only think I did not like was all of fighting procedurals. In my opinion, that bogged down the plot a bit. But anyone reading this book as former military would probably love that element.

The suspense aspects kept me guessing. Parts were definitely unpredictable. I liked how the team worked together and emphasized personal strengths.

I did read this book as a part of a tour. I wanted to read and review it. All opinions are my own
