Who is Gretchen, and where does she get all these books?

My name is Gretchen (Michels) Garrison. I am woman who has many titles.  Wife, mother, homeschooler, daughter, sister, friend, author, teacher, Nebraskan.  Most of all, I want to be known as a follower of Jesus. On this site, I reflect on ways that we can have more of Jesus in our everyday lives. I write devotional thoughts based on my own studies. I also share songs and books that have impacted my faith.

Where do I get the books that I review?

-I own A LOT of books. Several thousand books to be precise. I have gotten many books as gifts through the years. I also buy books through Christian Book Distributors. I shop local used book stores and library sales. I also buy used books through Better World books.

-I check out a lot of books through the my local libraries. In fact, I have checked out books from three area library systems within the past year! Overdrive and Hoopla books are a wonderful way to have access to free books!

-I review books through NetGalley. This has allowed me to read advanced copies – kind of like movie trailers but way better! I like helping authors get the word out about their books!

-I am frequently a part of the #KindleUnlimited program. This monthly subscription program has meant that I have discovered many more Christian authors than the library is able to stock on their shelves!

-I download a lot of free books. One free Facebook group that I joined is the Avid Readers of Christian Fiction. Every week they have a #free4kindle thread and a #uniquesale thread. I have many, many books waiting for me to be read on my Kindle.

-I sign up for book tours.

If you are able to send me an e-copy of your book, I am willing to consider reading it. If you only have paper copies, I would consider them as well. Please e-mail me (info@thesacredline.com) a synopsis of your book. At the point, I will let you know if I am able to meet your timeline expectations. Thanks!
