I am a big fan of Christmas music (will do a post on my favorites soon). But a few years ago I realized that just like the culture I was finding myself skipping Thanksgiving and not really reflecting on all that I am grateful for. So, I created a special playlist that helps me to get into the Thanksgiving spirit. Probably many of the songs you may be unfamiliar with and a few are old school, but this is what is playing around here.
- “Thank You for Saving Me” by Delirious
- “Thank You for Life” by Jeff Deyo
- “Thankful” by Jill Phillips
- “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” by Jars of Clay
- “How Could I Ask For More?” by Cindy Morgan
- “Thank You” by the Katinas
- “Joy is in Our Hearts” by Sara Groves
- “26 Letters” by Ben Glover
- “I Give Thanks” by Vineyard Music
- “Forever” by Michael W. Smith
- “Today is the Day” by Lincoln Brewster
- “Don’t You Want To Thank Someone” by Andrew Peterson
- “Thankful” by Caedmon’s Call
- “When I Think About the Lord” by Shane & Shane
- “All Creatures” by the David Crowder Band
- “How Can I Say Thanks” by Evie
- “Thank You, Lord” by First Call
- “Help Me, Thank You” by Jason Gray
And for the Kids and for Fun …
- “Give Thanks to the Lord” by Steve Green (Hide ‘Em in Your Heart)
- “Give Thanks” (from Scripture “Seeds of Character” cd)
- “Gobble Time” by the String Beans
- “Turkey Dinner” by The Littleague
This week especially may songs of praise and thankfulness be playing in our hearts!
